Our Team
At the Digital Forensic Lab Gilgit Baltistan Technical Wing, our dedicated team of experts works at the forefront of forensic science and criminal investigation, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of digital and physical evidence for the region.
Our lab operates under the leadership of the Director General (DG), DFL (GB), who oversees and coordinates the technical and investigative functions of the lab. Under this leadership, the lab is structured into specialized departments, each equipped with skilled professionals dedicated to various aspects of forensic
investigation:
- Computer Forensic (CF) Department
- Latent Finger Prints (LFP) Departmen
- Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) Department
Focused on digital evidence, data recovery, cybercrime investigation, and analysis of electronic devices. The department is led by a Section Supervisor and supported by Forensic Scientists (FS) and Junior Forensic Scientists (JFS).
Specializing in the detection, collection, and analysis of latent fingerprints from crime scenes. This department is also structured with a Section Supervisor, Forensic Scientists (FS), and Junior Forensic Scientists (JFS).
Responsible for securing and examining crime scenes, collecting evidence, and reconstructing incidents. The CSI department includes a Section Supervisor, Forensic Scientists (FS), and Junior Forensic Scientists (JFS).
